In the Vineyard

The vineyard is looking spectacular and the bird netting will be going on in the early new year. The crop is looking very good and just holding thumbs that the hail stays away. The young block of Pinot Gris is growing well, although a bit more rain would be welcome. Vintage is on track for mid Feb.

In the Winery

Vintage in the winery is due to start end January with the Tempranillo arriving. This will be followed by the Pinot Gris(Grigio style); Verdelho and then the Chardonnay.  Pinotage due to be picked at the end of February. As we have sold out of the Pinot Grigio and Verdelho we will be hoping to get the new vintage into bottle as soon as possible. Tastings at Easter folks!

The 2018 Petit Verdot is looking great will be bottled before vintage starts and be released at Easter. The 2018  “The Waagee” is progressing nicely in oak.
